Latest report on Meego Running On Nexus One:

android is a large open-source operating system and the ability to boot from a second open-source OS to android devices has led to the Linux-based Maemo 5 successor MeeGo Nexus One is enabled on a mobile phone.

The Meego is a lightweight Linux OS designed for netbooks and the like, but Meego source code for the smartphone version of the OS was released a few months back. Allowing hackers code and boot the OS to explore a number of devices, and now the Nexus.

The current reports are a little unclear exactly how the functional OS, and its development suffer from problems with driver cros s-compatibility with a problem that the closed-source nature of Qualcomm 3D drivers, preventing hardware acceleration of the interface and resulting in painfully slow response times.

However it is thought that if the system develops it wont be long before you Meego powered smartphone with dual boot functionality to see.

Gateway has a new notebook to its range with the launch of W-Max NV59C66u notebook. NV59C66u The Gateway has a built-in Intel 6250 Wi-Fi and WiMax card for connecting to the Internet the majority of U.S. cities.

Treatment comes in the form of a choice of different CPUs, an Intel Core i3 or i5 on a AMD Turion processor or Althlon, and has up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM standard with the option to upgrade to 8GB.

Othe features on the Gateway NV59C66u WiMax notebook includes a choice of 320 or 500 GB hard disk and you can choose from two different screen sizes, a 15.6 inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 or a 17.1 inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 900 p ixels.

There is also an HDMI port, a DVD drive as standard with the option to upgrade to a Blu-ray drive, there are no details on release dates yet.

The 15.6-inch model will retail for $ 479.99, while the 17.1 inch model will retail for $ 699.99.
