Earlier today we told you that it looks like Microsoft [MSFT] windows 7 will phone in the U.S. launch on November 8th, we also noted that it might launch in Europe in October.

Microsoft has now announced a special event here in the UK on October 11, 2010, and it seems that this could be the European launch date for windows 7 Phone.

While Microsoft will likely Phone windows 7 in the UK and Europe to launch on October 11, it seems that the devices simply go on sale until about Oct. 21, 2010 here in Europe.
