Thereâs a little website on the internet you might have heard of called YouTube, today celebrating its seventh birthday. First launched in May 2005, the video sharing site exploded in popularity after it was acquired by Google and is churning out videos and views at an breakneck pace. The first crazy stat to take away? 72 hours of video are uploaded to the site very minute, up from 48 hours last year.

Celebrating its seven years of existence with a video charting its rise, rise and rise, YouTube’s official blog has also announced that it’s now dealing with an eye-bleeding 72 hours of video every minute. We’re still finding all this content as pervasive as ever though, with over 3 billion hours now watched every month. ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity Series hits the FCC


Remember that high-resolution variant of the Transformer Prime ASUS trotted out at CES? The federal government just finished putting it through its paces. The WiFi version of the firm’s upcoming Transformer Pad Infinity (formally numbered TF700T) sauntered its way through the FCC, revealing itself as the slate’s Tegra 3 optie, if only for its lack of having a cellular radio. Motorola: “if Android 4.0 ICS isn’t better, we don’t want it”

This week the folks at Motorola are doing their best to let the world know that their Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update schedule is based not on their inability to upgrade their devices, but on how willing they are to do so. In a bit of a sting to those who purchased Android devices with Motorola manufacturing over the past year or so, expecting the next Android system upgrade as they did so, the manufacturer has sent out a message to gebruikers that if ICS wouldn’t “improve” their devices, they would not be updated. Leap promises a pocketable, compact 3D user interface

San Francisco startup Leap Motion today unveiled its killer product, a small USB-attached three dimensional sensor (a la Microsoft’s Kinect) which is meant for use in small spaces on small screens. The product is called Leap and is available in limited quantities for just $70.
