Star Wars TOR staff cut as player population falls

Though BioWare has not tied the two situations together as thus, the fact that Star Wars : The Old Republic has already lost 400,000 players since launch and that they’ve got a new set of layoffs in their staff on the books is fairly clearly connected. What we’re seeing this week is the CEO of BioWare Ray Muzyka announcing with co-founder Greg Zeschuk that they’d be saying “farewell to some talented, passionate, and exceptionally hard-working people” from the Star Wars staff. Hopefully this does not point toward an end-of-life sequence for the game itself.

Super Video Is A Free, Resizable Floating Video Player For Android

The concept of âfloating appsâ is fast transforming into a pretty handy way of helping android users extract the maximum performance out of their immensely powerful devices, while at the same time, letting them enjoy the true essence of multitasking on a mobile device. Previously reviewed calculator app, AirCalc, is a very fine example of a neatly-designed and simple floating app, which remains persistently visible on any android screen that you navigate to. Over a period of time, the concept of floating apps has been employed on far more diverse app categories, and android users these days find themselves surrounded by a healthy number of floating video players in the google Play Store. However, the catch with most of these âfloating playersâ is that they come tied with a hefty price tag, which is not the case with Super Video, Floating & Popup â a comprehensive video streaming and playing android app that lets you simultaneously play multiple local and YouTube videos through various resizable and movable floating windows.

Wondershare Player Might Be The Best Android Video Player, Discovery & Streaming App Yet

Previously reviewed MX Video Player is dubbed by many as the best video player for android, courtesy of the appâs ability to flawlessly play almost any known video format. Use Your Favorite DirectShow Decoder In Windows Media Player & Media Center

You may know that windows 7 uses its own set of media codecs to decode certain type of audio and video formats. This can be a major hindrance for folks who watch videos using windows Media Player or windows Media Center, as the default decoder is a little bland when compared to third-party decoders such as ffdshow, CoreAVC, MPCVideoDec etc. Although you can use a few registry tweaks to force windows to use third-party filters, we understand that not everyone wants to risk playing with windows registry editor. Win7DSFilterTweaker provides a simple solution to this very problem. It has been developed to force windows Media Player or Media Center to use your favorite DirectShow decoder. It supports both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of third-party DirectShow filters including LAV Video, ffdshow, MPCVideoDec, CoreAVC H.264, DivX MPEG-4, Gabest MPEG-2, Bitcontrol MPEG-2, MONOGRAM AAC and so on.
